United States
Delays are being experienced due to snowstorms in New York and Pennsylvania bringing snow and strong winds. The snowstorm has caused widespread power outages and several road closures due to fallen power lines and trees.
Ukraine
Ukrposhta of Ukraine are continuing to try and provide full postal services despite the ongoing dangerous conditions. Service delays are to be expected.
Italy
Poste Italiane have confirmed that all services have returned to normal now the government have relaxed all covid restrictions that were once in place.
Bulgaria
Bulgarian Posts have advised that due to a cyberattack on the 16th April, they have been experiencing IT issues. As a result, all IT systems are down. The Bulgarian Posts IT department and agencies are working to get the matter resolved.
CHIEF Planned Outage
HMRC will be running their annual CHIEF disaster recovery exercise between:
- 12:00-14:00 on 27th April 2022, and
- 12:00-14:00 on 4th May 2022.
The service will be unavailable to all users during these periods.
All messages will be queued until the service is restored.
HMRC apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
USA
Due to a severe storm forecast bringing heavy snow, tornados, strong winds and heavy rainfall. States expected to be affected are Northern, Eastern and Western Plains. Transportation disruptions are expected in the states of Tennesse, Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Nebraska.
Japan
Due to limited flight capacity to Japan, delays are to be expected for both inbound and outbound mail.
Israel
Israel Postal Company has confirmed that the delivery and collection of mail items from the south and centre of the country has returned to normal following interruptions due to a security situation.
Malaysia
Pos Malaysia has confirmed that the situation has returned to normal and all postal services have resumed.
Peru
Servicios Postales del Peru S.A. (SERPOST) has advised that freight carriers initiated a strike on 4th April 2022. As a result, the Peruvian Government declared a state of immobilisation on 5th April which will result in delays in the processing of all inbound and outbound mail items.
