As a result, quality of service and electronic data interchange are likely to be disrupted. Every effort will be made to ensure that the transmission of events is restored to normal as quickly as possible.
Heavy rainfall causes flooding in Uttar Pradesh : Media sources reported that heavy rainfall caused flooding in several parts of Uttar Pradesh, India, displacing over 84,000 people and damaging more than 4,000 hectares of land on August 2. Affected regions include Kanpur Nagar, Lakhimpur Kheri, Agra, Auraiya, Chitrakoot, Ballia, Banda, Ghazipur, Mirzapur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Chandauli, Jalaun, Kanpur Dehat, Hamirpur, Etawah, and Fatehpur. Floodwater damaged roadways, leading to traffic and logistics congestion. Lingering disruptions are likely until weather conditions improve.

The designated operator of Switzerland, Swiss Post, asks us to inform other countries and their designated operators that they are about to switch the transmission of EMSEVT events from its bespoken IT system to UPU IPS starting from 4. August 2025. The procedure is defined in such a way that one event after the other is switched over, starting with the events that are less relevant for delivery time measurements and ending with the “Start the Clock” and “Stop the Clock” events. During the transition phase, it will be unavoidable for certain events to be sent twice, firstly by the Swiss Post bespoken IT system and secondly by UPU IPS. |
