PostNL wants to inform the IPC members that we had some hick-ups in moving our airport facility at Amsterdam Schiphol airport since 27th of June 2025. This concerns the RFID gates activation and MRD installation. For the RFID-gates, reads are missed for our airport location between 27th of June and 2nd of July. Since 3rd of July the RFID-data is exchanged as usual. The MRD is not fully installed yet and did not register any MRD data since 27th of June up to now. We are working in cooperation with IPC to have the MRD up-and-running asap . We will inform you once everything is working back again as usual.

Netherlands 17.06.2025

On June 24 and 25, 2025, The Netherlands will host the NATO Summit in The Hague. Around 9,000 people will be coming to the Summit, including 45 heads of state and government. To ensure that the summit proceeds in a safe manner, many security measures will be taken. These security measures will affect road traffic, public transport and air travel. Road transport in the Amsterdam – The Hague – Rotterdam area will be severely disrupted from Sunday June 22 until and including Thursday June 26. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is expected to be busier than usual during this week. So far, airlines are maintaining their capacity into Amsterdam Airport Schiphol during the NATO Summit week. PostNL is doing everything in our capacity to ensure smooth processing and delivery of your shipments during this week. As sorting, transportation and delivery of both domestic and international items will be challenging, we ask your understanding and support for any inconvenience this may cause.
