Air India Engineering Services Limited workers to launch nationwide strike in India : Media sources on April 17 reported that workers of Air India Engineering Services Limited (AIESL) plan to launch a nationwide strike across India on May 5 to demand better employment terms. The workers are members of the All India Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Union (AIAMEU). The company provides engineering services to Air India and other airlines at several airports in India.

Authorities to temporarily halt customs clearances due to export system shutdown: Intelligence received by Everstream Analytics on May 1 reports that Hungarian authorities will temporarily halt customs clearances at 21:00 local time on May 5 due to a shutdown of the country’s old export system. Customs clearances are expected to be halted until 02:00 local time on May 6, when a new export system is implemented. Import customs clearance will not be impacted by the change.

Finnish Aviation Union announces 4-hour strike on May 2: Local media sources reported that the Finnish Aviation Union announced a 4-hour strike in Finland on May 2. Another planned strike involving over 300 employees of Finnair is set to begin on May 5. The work stoppage will impact passenger, ground handling, and cargo services personnel. Anticipate significant disruptions at Finnish airports.

Due to a widespread power outage that began at 11:33 a.m. on April 28 2025, and the resulting failure of communication and data networks, operations were severely impacted.

This disruption has affected sorting and distribution centers, post offices, and transportation networks (including airports).

The situation has returned to normal, and all postal operations have resumed as of 29 April 2025.

Denmark 30.04.25

Post Danmark, has advised that it has been experiencing ITMATT data transmission issues since 28 April 2025.

The issues are expected to be resolved within a few days. Until then, Post Danmark will strive to avoid the dispatch of items without ITMATT.

Spain 29.04.25

Due to a widespread power outage in Spain, operations at sorting and distribution centres as well as post offices had been halted since 12:30 p.m. on April 28th. IT infrastructure is also affected due to the power outage, and service disruptions are expected.

Transportation infrastructure has also been affected, including operations at airports and public transport services, including trains and metro lines. There had also been major traffic jams at some points on the road network.

Regarding communications and data networks, the power outage has also affected them, and there is no internet or mobile access in certain areas.

It is expected that normal operations will resume across the entire network on 30 April.
