Australia Post has confirmed that inbound letter-post items are no longer being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, it is still experiencing issues with other categories of inbound items and all categories of outbound items.

Australia Post has advised it has temporary suspended signature upon delivery for inbound items, effective immediately, in order to reduce face-to-face methods of delivery and reduce the risk of the spread of the coronavirus. Delivery delays may be experienced during this time. 

Australia Post advises bushfires are affecting mail collection and delivery in postcode areas:

2250-2263, 2323-2430, 2440, 2443, 2446, 2469, 2471, 2500-2653, 2721-2730, 2753-2795, 2848, 2900-2914, 3700-3741, 3865, 3909, 4570, 4650, 4670, 4674, 4676, 5115-5117, 5220-5223, 5232-5253, 5271-5275, 6030, 6037, 6041, 6442, 6335-6338 and 6725-6770

Severe bushfires in Australia, primarily in New South Wales are affecting the collection and processing of all mail items. We will share further updates from Auspost once available. 

Australia Post advises severe weather and bushfires in regional New South Wales are affecting mail collection and delivery for postcode area 2469. There will also be impacts on mail flow in and out of Australia due to transportation difficulties in the area. 

Australia Post has advised that no deliveries will take place on Monday 10th June, due to the public holiday.
