Australia Post has advised that their daily operations are experiencing disruptions due to severe storms and flooding across the country but especially in the states of South Australia and Queensland and the Northern Territory. The processing of both inbound and outbound mail items is affected.

Australia Post has advised that operations in it’s Melbourne offices of exchange (IMPC codes beginning AUMEL) are currently disrupted owning to the current COVID situation. Restrictions are impacting both inbound and outbound mail.

Australia Post has advised that the Sydney office has been closed for 48 hours due to covid for deep cleaning to ensure the safety of all staff and others. 

The closure will have a direct impact on the processing and delivery handover of all inbound mail items in Sydney during this time.

At present, there are border closures and lockdowns in place across the country, including strict lockdowns in two major states, Victoria and New South Wales, where the processing and delivery of mail items is being significantly impacted.
