United Kingdom 15.08.2025

As the designated operator for the United Kingdom, Royal Mail informs members of an IT issue affecting EMSEVT scanning data for a significant volume of import parcels and packets. Due to a recent internal system change on 11th Aug, some tracking events are not reaching to origin postal operators or IPC/UPU systems, although they are appearing on Royal Mail’s Track & Trace. Our IT suppliers are investigating the root cause.

Singapore 15.08.2025

The designated operator of Singapore, Singapore Post Ltd (SingPost) wishes to inform the designated operators of other Union member countries that, in the light of the new import requirements introduced by the US executive order dated 30 July 2025, it is temporarily suspending acceptance of open or closed transit items containing goods destined for the United States of America. This measure will take effect on 20 August 2025, in accordance with article 17-013 of the Convention Regulations. Any transit or misrouted items containing goods destined for the United States and arriving at SingPost’s international mail processing centres will be returned to origin.

Portugal 15.08.2025

The designated operator of Portugal, CTT Correios de Portugal, wishes to inform the designated operators of other Union member countries that, in the light of the new import requirements introduced by the US executive order dated 30 July 2025, it is temporarily suspending acceptance of open or closed transit items containing goods destined for the United States of America. This measure will take effect on 22 August 2025, in accordance with article 17-013 of the Convention Regulations. Any transit or misrouted items containing goods destined for the United States and arriving at CTT Correios’ international mail processing centres will be returned to origin.

New Zealand 15.08.2025

The designated operator of New Zealand, NZ Post, wishes to inform the designated operators of other Union member countries that, in the light of the new import requirements introduced by the US executive order dated 30 July 2025, it is temporarily suspending acceptance of open or closed transit items containing goods destined for the United States of America. This measure will take effect on 22 August 2025, in accordance with article 17-013 of the Convention Regulations. Any transit or misrouted items containing goods destined for the United States and arriving at NZ Post’s international mail processing centre will be returned to origin.

Japan 15.08.2025

The designated operator of Japan, Japan Post, wishes to inform the designated operators of other Union member countries that, in the light of the new import requirements introduced by the US executive order dated 30 July 2025, it is temporarily suspending acceptance of open or closed transit items containing goods destined for the United States of America. This measure will take effect on 20 August 2025, in accordance with article 17-013 of the Convention Regulations. Any transit or misrouted items containing goods destined for the United States and arriving at Japan’s international mail processing centres will be returned to origin.

Hong Kong 15.08.2025

Further to EmIS 139/2025, Hongkong Post, a designated operator of China (specifically for the special administrative region of Hong Kong), wishes to inform Union member countries and their designated operators that the processing and delivery of all mail (letters, parcels and EMS) have resumed as normal with effect from 15 August 2025.
