Österreichische Post, Slovenská pošta, La Poste Group & Poste Italiane wishes to inform you, that in the light of the new import requirements introduced by the US executive order dated 30 July 2025, it is temporarily suspending the acceptance of open and closed transit items containing goods destined for the United States of America. This measure will take effect on 25 August 2025, in accordance with article 17-013 of the Convention Regulations.  Any transit or misrouted items containing goods that are destined for the United States will be returned to origin.

Greece and Thailand 21.08.2025

Hellenic Post & Thailand Post wishes to inform you that, in light of the new import requirements introduced by the US executive order dated 30 July 2025, it is temporarily suspending the acceptance of open and closed transit items containing goods destined for the United States of America. This measure will take effect on 22 August 2025, in accordance with article 17-013 of the Convention Regulations.

Any transit or misrouted items containing goods that are destined for the United States will be returned to origin.

Denmark and Sweden 21.08.2025

PostNord Group AB wishes to inform you that, in light of the new import requirements introduced by the US executive order dated 30 July 2025, it is temporarily suspending the acceptance of open or closed transit items containing goods destined for the United States of America. This measure will take effect on 23 August 2025, in accordance with article 17-013 of the Convention Regulations. Any transit or misrouted items containing goods that are destined for the United States will be returned to origin.

USA 21.08.2025

United States of America, the United States Postal Service (USPS), wishes to inform the suspension of the duty-free de minimis exemption for all dutiable international postal items containing goods destined for the US, effective from 29 August 2025, pursuant to the US executive order (EO) of 30 July 2025 entitled “Suspending Duty-Free De Minimis Treatment for All Countries”, in accordance with article 20.1 of the Universal Postal Convention.

With effect from 29 August 2025, the duty-free de minimis exemption for goods valued at 800 USD or less will be eliminated, and all international postal items containing goods destined for the US, regardless of value, shall be subject to customs duties, unless an exemption (including those specified below) applies.
