Hellenic Post wishes to inform that the General Confederation of Greek Workers and the Association of Civil Servants announced a 24-hour strike on Wednesday 9th November. In addition air traffic controllers announced a six-hour work stoppage from 10:00-16:00 (local time) on the same date. These actions affected international mail collection and delivery.

Hellenic Post has been facing a general IT issue since 20th March owing to a cyberattack, all systems are down (internet, International Postal System and telephones, etc.). The IT department is working to resolve the situation. Hellenic Post will provide an update as soon as possible.

Hellenic Post of Greece has advised that the whole country was hit with heavy snowfall which has resulted in the closures of sorting centres and collection and deliveries being cancelled. Main highways are closed and flights are cancelled. The weather forecast predicts that situation to get worse in the coming days, having a direct impact on all postal operations.

The Hellenic Post of Greece has informed us that Air Traffic Controllers have announced a two-day strike on 25 and 26 November 2020. Flights destined for, or departing from, Greek airports will be affected, which will also impact on transit flights to Greek Islands. As a result, mail operation will be affected during the period of the strike, and further delays can be expected on top of those already evident from current Coronavirus restrictions.
