As reported in the news, the Channel Tunnel and the Port of Dover are both closed to ‘accompanied’ traffic from the UK to France for a period of 48 hours. Along with flights being cancelled from the UK to some European countries. 

As a result of the aforementioned announcements, immediate service disruptions are expected with some lanes being closed until further notice. We are working with all of our suppliers to keep mail items moving and will keep you informed of any developments. 

Slovakia

Slovenská pošta has advised that the Slovakian Government announced a new lockdown which will last until at least the 10th January 2021.

Slovenská pošta will continue to operate and provide postal services but with a reduced workforce and reduced hours. Processing and delivery delays are to be expected. 

Latvia

Latvia Government has extended the state of emergency until 11th January 2021. During the state of emergency postal services will continue to function with restrictions such as reduced hours and reduced workforce to minimise contact between people. Delivery delays could be experienced during this time.

Thailand

Thailand Post has advised that heavy rain in southern Thailand is causing flooding in many provinces. 

As of 4th December, road blockages are causing delays in the transportation and delivery of mail and postal items. The postcodes of the affected areas are as follows: 80XXX, 84XXX, 90XXX, 92XXX, 93XXX, 95XXX and 96XXX.
