Truck drivers announce nationwide indefinite strike: Media sources reported on June 16 that truck drivers will begin an indefinite nationwide strike across Peru on June 18. The strike is supported by Asotrani, the National Transport Alliance, and the Gamarra Businesswomen’s Association unions and was called due to rising extortion cases and the lack of government response to it. Widespread disruptions to cargo movement are to be expected.

The designated operator of Italy, Poste Italiane, wishes to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that certain Italian unions have confirmed a 24-hour strike, commencing at 00.01 CEST on 20 June 2025, involving all modes of transport (air, rail, road and sea). There is a risk of delays or cancellations for non-guaranteed flights and other means of transport. Despite mitigation measures being adopted by Poste Italiane at its facilities, the impact of the strike may continue over the following days, depending on the level of strike participation. Hongkong Post suspends all services to Israel, Iran and Iraq: Government sources reported that as of June 18, Hongkong Post has suspended all postal services to Israel, Iran and Iraq until further notice. The measure was implemented and due to ongoing events in the region. Lingering disruptions to shipment pickup and delivery are to be expected until security issues persist.

On June 24 and 25, 2025, The Netherlands will host the NATO Summit in The Hague. Around 9,000 people will be coming to the Summit, including 45 heads of state and government. To ensure that the summit proceeds in a safe manner, many security measures will be taken. These security measures will affect road traffic, public transport and air travel. Road transport in the Amsterdam – The Hague – Rotterdam area will be severely disrupted from Sunday June 22 until and including Thursday June 26. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is expected to be busier than usual during this week. So far, airlines are maintaining their capacity into Amsterdam Airport Schiphol during the NATO Summit week. Iraq 17.06.2025

The designated operator of Iraq, the Iraq Post and Savings Company, wishes to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that, owing to the current security conditions in the Middle East, the Ministry of Transport has closed Iraqi airspace and suspended air traffic at all Iraqi airports with effect from Friday, 13 June 2025 and until further notice. As a result, all outbound and inbound international mail operations (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) have been suspended.
