Hellenic Post ELTA (GR) wishes to share the following: The Confederation of the Greek workers and the Association of the Civil Servants announced a 24-hour strike on Wednesday, the 20th of November. These actions affected both international and domestic mail collection and delivery.
As of 15/11/2024, the Canada Post Union workers have instituted a full national strike.Â
Unfortunately, this means no postal items will be delivered/received during this time and delays are to be expected whilst negotiations are ongoing.
We hope the situation is resolved promptly. We will keep you informed with any developments. Â
Correos y Telégrafos, would like to provide an update on the situation following the torrential rains on 29 October 2024. The areas still affected are in the province of Valencia (46XXX postcodes), which saw great damage and destruction to homes and businesses. In addition, the communications network (roads, bridges, streets and railways) was affected, and reconstruction is underway in various places, meaning that transport in the province is still disrupted.
Work is being done to restore full operations but, in some areas, Correos y Telégrafos is still unable to provide a delivery service. To provide backup for inoperable post offices, temporary offices have been set up. However, the sorting facility in Valencia is back in operation, and service to the province of Castellón (12XXX) is back to normal.
