The designated operator of Ecuador, Empresa Pública Servicios Postales del Ecuador (SPE EP), wishes to inform other member countries of the Union and their designated operators that, as of 1 June 2025, operations at the office of exchange located in the city of Guayaquil (IMPC codes ECGYEA and ECGYEB) will be temporarily suspended. This measure is being taken as part of an operational restructuring process with the aim of optimizing the universal postal service. During the period concerned (i.e. commencing 1 June 2025), the functions and operations carried out to date at the Guayaquil exchange office will be assumed by the exchange office located in Quito (IMPC codes ECUIOA, ECUIOB and ECUIOC), which will continue to provide services on a regular basis.
