Heavy rainfall causes flooding in Punjab and Khyber Phaktunkhwa: Media sources reported that heavy rainfall caused flash flooding in parts of northeastern Punjab and northwestern Khyber Phaktunkhwa in Pakistan since May 24. Due to floodwaters, structures collapsed, trees and power lines were downed while low-lying areas were inundated. Several roads were closed due to low visibility and inclement weather. Lingering disruptions are likely to persist until floodwaters recede.
