Posten Norge AS has confirmed a national strike that started on Monday, 17 April, with 24,000 workers walking out.

The strike started after mediation failed between Norway’s largest trade unions and the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise, and may affect both international and domestic mail collection and delivery.

Norwegian Post has advised that following the modernisation of their International Mail Hub a proportion of Tracked Mail is still experiencing delays. Norwegian Post has confirmed further enhancements are planned for processing improvement.

Norway Post has advised that SAS pilots in Norway, Sweden and Denmark are on strike and hundreds of flights have been cancelled, severely impacting inbound and outbound mail.
