Mongol Post has confirmed that they are migrating from IPS 2017 to IPS 2021 during the coming weekend, as a result, technical disruptions may be experienced.

Mongolia Post has advised that all international flights have been suspended until 30th April. The international processing centre will remain closed until 1st April 2020 and this may be extended. As a result, mail deliveries will experience delays during these times.

Mongolia Post has advised that the first case of COVID-19 infection has now been recorded in Mongolia. To help prevent the virus from spreading, all international flights, both inbound and outbound are suspended from 11-30th March and domestic routes are closed from 10th-16th March 2020. These periods may be extended.

Mongolia Post is temporarily closing its international mail centre from 15th March to 1st April 2020. As a result, mail deliveries will experience delays during these periods.

Mongolia Post advised the Universal Postal Union (UPU) that while they are continuing to receive and despatch mail to/from other countries and are still processing following sanitisation, the additional precautionary measures may result in delays to delivery times.

Due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus and its rapid spread, the Mongolian authorities have closed all educational institutions in the region and have strictly prohibited all public activities from 27th January to 2nd March. 

As a result, the processing of inbound and outbound mail is likely to face disruption.
