MaltaPost has advised that an increase in covid infection rates is causing staff shortages at key processing and delivery locations. Delays are likely to be experienced. 

Malta Post has advised, due to COVID-19, all postal services continue to be severely affected, as airline connectivity to Malta is limited. This disruption is expected to continue until airlines resume normal operations with sufficient capacity. Delays in the processing and delivery of mail are also to be expected throughout the islands of Malta, with quality of service standards affected. Force Majeure is in place.

Malta has implemented special quarantine measures to reduce the spread of the coronavirus. As a result, Malta Post has reduced workforce available and may not fulfil all mail services. Signature on delivery is also suspended at present. Delivery delays are also to be expected.
