🚧 Major Transport Disruptions – We Apologize for the Delays 🚧
A freight train has derailed in Sweden, and the Nordland Line remains closed. This is causing significant delays for letters, parcels, and freight to and from Northern Norway. All transport between the south and north must temporarily be handled by road, which results in considerable delays – up to 2–3 days. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes.
Hongkong Post, a designated operator of China (specifically for the special administrative region of Hong Kong), wishes to inform Union member countries and their designated operators that the Hong Kong Observatory issued Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 for Tropical Storm Tapah at 21.20 on 7 September 2025, as a result of which the processing and conveyance of all inward, outward and local mail will be disrupted for a certain period. The quality of service for all services, including outbound and inbound EMS, air parcels and air registered mail, will be affected. Once services are resumed, Hongkong Post expects the impact to last for at least one day before the backlogs accumulated can be cleared.
