Investors in People Silver Accreditation

UKP Worldwide has been awarded accreditation against the Investors in People Standard, demonstrating their commitment to realising the potential of their people.

UKPW are made up of a team of thirty and provide brokered international eCommerce and mail solutions to almost all industry sectors. Originally established in 2000 providing international distribution services to publishers, our extensive knowledge in this area has spearheaded our development into direct mail, eCommerce and latterly eCommerce returns.

With the USA being a key market for publishers, we opened our facility in the USA in 2010 and this has helped grow our range of mail services and develop our expertise in USA eCommerce distribution and returns.

Investors in People is the international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results. Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to outperform in any industry. Working with clients across the globe, Investors in People enables organisations to benchmark against the best in the business on an international scale.

Paul Devoy, Head of Investors in People, said “We’d like to congratulate UKP Worldwide, Investors in People accreditation is the sign of a great employer, and an organisation committed to achieving success by realising the potential of their people. UKP Worldwide should be extremely proud of their achievement.”

Paul Taylor, Managing Director, UKP Worldwide comments: “We are delighted not only to have achieved Investors in People Silver standard but also to have improved on our previous award against this year’s much higher standards.  We are committed to continually develop our team and equip them with the tools and training they need to help with our continued growth.”

Italy – international mail with double UK return addresses

We wanted to bring to your attention the strict processing guidelines, which have been implemented by the Italian Postal Authority on all inbound international mail.  Any mail pieces containing a double UK return address (a preprinted return address and the correct return address included in a PPI) will be subject to being refused or imposing heavy surcharges.

We would, therefore, ask you to ensure that all mail pieces being sent to Italy no longer contain a visible preprinted UK return address. Whilst we appreciate some clients like to include a return address to ensure undelivered mail is returned directly to them – we can confirm that undelivered mail items are returned to UKPW by the individual postal carriers.  Though undelivered items can take a while to be returned, once received all returned items are processed accordingly and in alignment with our individual client’s requirements.

If you have any queries regarding these changes, please do not hesitate to get in touch to discuss these further.

World Mail & Express Asia Conference

This year’s WMX Asia Conference was held in the northern part of Hong Kong, Kowloon, known for its shopping, arts and entertainment!  Despite Typhoon Mangkhut making an appearance and causing disruption across Asia, the conference went ahead uninterrupted as scheduled.

The popular three-day conference with its host of seminars and networking sessions provided the perfect opportunity for our CEO, Lee Bucktrout and Sales Director, Paul Moring to meet with our network of international suppliers and customers, as well as network with new potential.

Lee Bucktrout, CEO commented “As usual Triangle events are well organised and Hong Kong was no different! With a good selection of seminars and networking opportunities to take advantage of, UKPW has come away with some new exciting opportunities and ideas, which we are actively following up.”

We are already well advanced in planning our next conference in Miami, which has become a regular event in our international marketing calendar. With destination USA as our core field of expertise for both postal and parcel solutions, it is an obvious choice of venue to make new acquaintances.

Paul Taylor appointed Managing Director of UKP Worldwide

UKP Worldwide (UKPW), the UK and US-based international mail and parcel delivery specialist, is delighted to announce the appointment of Paul Taylor as Managing Director.

Paul will take over from Lee Bucktrout, who will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer of UKPW.

Paul joined UKPW in Spring 2017, as eCommerce Director to put in place and drive forward the Company’s new business strategy, which includes new products and services for UK retailers selling cross-border and the development of solutions that offer a more efficient, innovative and discounted service on print, fulfilment and distribution.

Paul has brought to UKPW over 25 years’ experience in the international mail and parcels industry, including senior leadership roles at DHL and Swiss Post International. Whilst CEO of Swiss Post International, Paul oversaw the merger with La Poste in 2012 to create Asendia. Prior to joining UKPW, Paul was Head of Sales and Marketing UK with Spring Global Mail.

Paul will be responsible for continuing the successful development of the business by ensuring UKPW has the right infrastructure and processes in place to enable controlled sustainable growth. One key aspect will be maintaining UKPW’s prominence as an expert solution provider to the US and the unique, specialist services UKPW offers to the US.

UKPW specialises in distributing direct mail, catalogues, magazine and eCommerce goods internationally. The company has an in-depth knowledge of the US market, through it’s US subsidiary and partnership with the United States Postal Service (USPS). UKPW also occupies a unique position in being an HMRC Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) and known consignor (CAA accredited). As well as ensuring a retailer’s export records are compliant for VAT reporting purposes, AEO accreditation allows for faster customs clearance at local and overseas borders for outbound and returned goods, as well as proof of a secure and compliant supply chain for the protection of goods and information. UKPW has recently introduced a new US eCommerce service for Food & Drug Agency (FDA) approved food items and health supplements.

Lee Bucktrout, Chief Executive Officer of UKP Worldwide, said:

“Paul’s senior level experience, his knowledge of the cross-border market and proven ability to build a successful, dynamic and cohesive team makes him the perfect choice to develop and benefit our business.”

Paul Taylor, said:

“The past twelve months at UKPW have been very exciting as we have introduced new client solutions and broken into new international markets. I am looking forward to bringing experience and expertise into use to capitalise on many more opportunities in the cross-border market and to continue the growth of the business.”

UKPW Directors donned their tuxedos in June

June has been a busy month for UKPW!

Firstly exhibiting at the World Mail & Express Europe Conference in London, which proved very fruitful! The show provided the perfect networking opportunity to catch up with existing suppliers, as well as, meeting new potential customers and suppliers within the industry, and coming away with new prospects to quote for.

Along with our Directors, Lee Bucktrout, Paul Taylor, Paul Moring and Guy Cliffe donning their tuxedos at the World Mail & Express Awards Dinner on 12th June and Paul Taylor and Guy Cliffe again at the PPA Awards Dinner on 27th June. It was a pleasure for UKPW to have the opportunity to attend two well organised and exciting events, and to see well-deserved nominees win their categories – Alison Graham, Columnist for the Radio Times, winning ‘Columnist Of The Year ‘.
