The designated operator of Malta, MaltaPost, wishes to inform that owing to the implementation of a new import system by the Maltese customs authorities, it is currently experiencing delays in the processing of mail items subject to customs clearance. 

 MaltaPost is working with the Maltese customs authorities to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. 

MaltaPost has advised that an increase in covid infection rates is causing staff shortages at key processing and delivery locations. Delays are likely to be experienced.
