Israel has implemented special restrictions across the country due to the coronavirus. As a result, Israel Post needs to comply with these and may have reduced workforce. Some mail services may not be fulfilled and signature on delivery services have been suspended. Delays to mail services are to be expected. 

Israel Post has confirmed they are dealing with a backlog of mail and parcel items due to an unforeseen increase of volumes. Items are being processed as quickly as possible and normal service is expected to resume at the end of the month.  

Israel Post advises that transport and delivery of mail may be delayed due to events in Jerusalem between 22nd and 24th January to mark the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp.

All postal operations have returned to normal on Monday 18th November 2019

Israel Postal Company has confirmed that all services have returned to normal and thanks to everyone for their understanding during this time.

Israel Postal Company has advised that due to the security situation, there have been interruptions and delays in the distribution and collection of mail in the south of Israel since 4th May 2019.
