Iceland has put special quarantine measures in place against Coronavirus. As a result, Iceland Post has reduced workforce meaning some services are not available such as signature on delivery which is currently suspended. Delays to mail deliveries are to be expected.
Icelandic Post has advised that due to a storm on Friday 14th February, all outbound dispatches have been cancelled and most flights to/from Iceland have been cancelled or delayed. All roads to/from Reykjavik are closed. Domestic transport and distribution have also been cancelled in most areas including the Reykjavik area.
As a result, delivery delays of at least 24-hours can be expected.
Due to severe weather in Reykjavik, flights have been cancelled or are severely delayed. this will cause delays to mail of at least 24 hours.
A snowstorm that hit the country on the 10th December has caused severe delays in international and domestic transport and mail distribution.
