The designated operator of Germany, Deutsche Post AG, would like to inform the designated operators of other Union member countries that, as of 7 August 2025, the e-mail address letter.inquiries@deutschepost.de will no longer be used. Designated operators are requested to send inquiries related to letters (registered, tracked) through the Global Customer Service System (GCSS). If this is not practicable, inquiries (CN 08) may be sent to the new e-mail address: claimsCN08@deutschepost.de.

The designated operator of The Netherlands, PostNL, asks us to inform other countries and their designated operators that since 16:06 CET on 4th of August, PostNL is not receiving a data from other designated operators. Due to this issue, delays of EMSEVT from PostNL are to be expected.

Hong Kong 05.08.2025

Hongkong Post, a designated operator of China (specifically for the special administrative region of Hong Kong), wishes to inform Union member countries and their designated operators that a black level rainstorm warning was issued on 5 August 2025 at 5.50 local time. The processing and delivery of all mail (letters, parcels and EMS) will be affected. The impact is expected to last for at least a day upon service resumption, until the backlogs can be cleared.

Weather conditions disrupt flight operations at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport: Media sources report on August 5 that severe weather conditions disrupted flight operations at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (IATA: AMS), Amsterdam, Netherlands, on August 4. According to sources, 406 flights were delayed and 28 cancelled. Further disruptions are to be expected until weather conditions improve.
