Heavy rainfall prompts closure of over 350 roads across Himachal Pradesh: Media sources reported on August 19 that heavy rainfall and landslides across Himachal Pradesh, India, have prompted the closure of over 350 roads. As of August 18, 192 roads in Mandi district were disrupted, alongside 103 in Kullu, 29 in Sirmaur, 26 in Kangra, and 11 each in Chamba and Shimla districts. Among the affected are National Highway 3 and National Highway 505, as well as the Chandigarh-Manali highway. The alternative route through Kandughad is also reportedly blocked. Congestion was reported earlier along the highway at Takoli, Panarsa, Jhalogi, and 9 Mile. Congestion has also been reported on the Aut-Banjar section of NH-305 and the Larji to Sainj road in Kullu district. Heavy rainfall causes flooding in Gujarat.

Media sources reported on July 7 that heavy rainfall has caused flooding in Surat, Navsari, and Bardoli, in Gujarat, India.

Flooding caused traffic disruptions on several roads. Around 500 people were evacuated from Navsari due to high water levels of the Purna and Kaveri rivers.

Business and logistical disruptions are likely as heavy rainfall is forecasted for the region in the coming days.
