The designated operator of Georgia, Georgian Post, wishes to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that owing to very poor weather conditions, mail delivery throughout the western region of Georgia has been disrupted since 23rd February 2025. In some areas, deliveries are partially restricted, while in others they have been completely suspended. These conditions have inevitably resulted in delays in the processing and delivery of mail. Conditions are expected to improve soon, allowing postal services to resume normal operations in the near future.

Georgian Post has reported that due to poor weather conditions, mail delivery throughout the western region of Georgia has been disrupted since 23rd February. In some areas, deliveries are particularly restricted, while in others they have been completely suspended. These conditions have resulted in delays in the processing and delivery of mail. Weather conditions are expected to improve in the coming days but no information has been given on when postal services will return to normal.

Georgia Pos wishes to confirm that the verification unit serving the Tbilisi international mail processing centre will end on 25th December 2021.

Georgian Post has confirmed that owing to an outbreak of COVID infections the verification unit serving Tbilisi international mail processing centres has been locked down. 

With all staff testing positive, operations have been suspended. As a result, Georgian Post is unable to provide verification notes to its partners. Delays could be experienced during this time.
