The designated operator of France, La Poste Group, wishes to inform other Union member countries and their designated operators that, from 1 August 2025, the sending and receipt of PRECON/RESCON flows must be performed via a single electronic data interchange (EDI) mailbox (FR102) for all mail flows (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items).

Strikes at Paris Orly and Charles-de-Gaulle Airport: Media sources reported on July 2 that authorities have requested the cancellation of 25 percent of flights departing or arriving at Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle Airport (IATA: CDG) and Paris Orly Airport (IATA: ORY) on July 3 due to a strike by French air traffic controllers. The exact number of affected flights has not been immediately disclosed. Lingering delays and disruptions are expected.

Heavy rainfall causes flooding in Dordogne: Local media sources report that heavy rainfall on April 21 has caused flooding in Dordogne, France. Sources indicate that several rivers in the area burst their banks and 13 departmental roads were cut off as of the morning of April 22. Flooding was also reported in nearby Corrèze. An orange alert for flooding is active in the departments of Gironde, Charente-Maritime, Charente and Dordogne until April 24.

The designated operator of France, La Poste, has advised that owing to a major incident regarding its information system, lasting from Monday, 10th to Thursday, 13th February 2025 and relating to customs clearance of letter-post items bearing Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) numbers, a risk of double taxation has been identified.

La Poste has re-sent as many declarations as possible to the French customs authority and its delivery staff have been informed of the problem. La Poste is making every effort to avoid the erroneous collection of customs charges from addressees who have already paid via the IOSS number.
