The designated operator of the Philippines, Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost), respectfully informs Union member countries and their designated operators that it is temporarily suspending the dispatch of all outbound international surface mail from the Philippines, with immediate effect, in accordance with article 17-013 of the Convention Regulations. This decision is driven by the continuous rise in operational and conveyance costs, which is significantly hindering the sustainability of PHLPost’s surface mail services. In view of these circumstances, PHLPost is actively reviewing possible options to identify viable and cost-effective solutions. It is committed to resuming outbound surface mail operations as soon as feasible, and will keep Union member countries informed of developments in this regard. |
