Flash flooding in parts of Zapopan, Jalisco: Media sources reported on June 25 that heavy rainfall since the afternoon of June 24 has caused flash flooding in parts of Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico. According to reports, floodwater had reached up to 1.8 meters in certain areas, including Sonora Street. Roads and train tracks had been submerged. Rainfall across the broader Guadalajara region has also been recorded and authorities are currently assessing structural damage. Lingering business and logistics disruptions are to be expected until floodwaters recede.

Heavy rainfall causes flooding in Puntarenas province: Media sources reported on June 25 that 169 flood incidents occurred across 19 cantons in Costa Rica since June 24. Emergencies were reported in San José, Curridabat, Alajuelita, Upala, Guatuso, San Carlos (Alajuela) and Buenos Aires in Puntarenas province. Flooding, landslides, and collapsed sewage systems caused evacuations, road blockages, and facility damage across these areas. Business and logistics disruptions are likely to persist as heavy rainfall is forecast until at least June 26.

The major Belgian unions have called a 24-hour interprofessional strike, commencing at 00.01 CEST (UTC+2) on Wednesday, 25 June 2025.

This industrial action is expected to affect various sectors and industries across the country, including letter-post and parcel-post deliveries, as well as domestic and international logistics network. The strike will also involve ground handlers and other airport and airline personnel.

Therefore, disruption and delays are to be expected in the handling of inbound and outbound airmail dispatches at Brussels Airport.

Further to EmIS 078/2025, the designated operator of Panama, Correos Panamá, would like to inform the designated operators of other Union member countries that it is still experiencing delays in the distribution and delivery of postal items (letter post, parcel post and EMS), owing to ongoing protests and road closures. Post offices have been closed in the Bocas del Toro province following the state of emergency declared by the Government of Panama as a result of the unrest.
