Heavy rainfall causes flooding in Punjab and Khyber Phaktunkhwa: Media sources reported that heavy rainfall caused flash flooding in parts of northeastern Punjab and northwestern Khyber Phaktunkhwa in Pakistan since May 24. Due to floodwaters, structures collapsed, trees and power lines were downed while low-lying areas were inundated. Several roads were closed due to low visibility and inclement weather. CUPW has indicated its intent to begin strike activity as of Friday, May 23 at 12:00 AM (local time), unless agreements are reached before then.

At this time, Canada Post operations continue as usual, but customers should be prepared for possible service delays.
