UK – Holyhead Port Closure – Update 08.01.2025

As you may recall, Holyhead Port has been closed following damage caused by Storm Darragh.

We are pleased to confirm that the port is scheduled to reopen at a reduced capacity on Friday 17th January 2025. The closure has caused ongoing disruptions and delays. We will continue to monitor the situation, but we hope to resume normal operations shortly after reopening.

We will keep you informed of any developments.

USA 06.01.2025

A National Day of Observance has been declared to honour the death of former President, Jimmy Carter.

The Postal Service will suspend regular mail deliveries, retail services and administrative office activity on Thursday 9th January 2025.

There will be limited package delivery service on 9th January to ensure the organisation does not experience any impacts to its package delivery operations that may negatively affect customers or business partners.

All Postal Service facilities – including Headquarters in Washington, DC, and area and district administrative offices – are included in the National Day of Observance.
Local managers will advise employees on staffing levels to maintain operations and prepare for the resumption of regular activities Friday 10th January.

Canada 02.01.2025

We are pleased to confirm that the ongoing Canada Post strike has ended and we can start processing mail and parcel traffic. Unfortunately, delays are expected while the backlog of mail and parcel traffic items is cleared.
