Guatemala Post have informed us there is disruption to services in the Eastern and North-Eastern regions of the country, due to Storm Eta. This service interruption will continue until the affected region is safe for operations to resume, so delivery delays can be expected in the affected regions. Inbound mail operations and service in the rest of the country remain unaffected.
Guatemala’s post is operating with 50% of its normal staff until 12th April 2020 (subject to extension) as part of government measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. All post offices have been closed and home deliveries are being provided by reduced staff resulting in delays across the delivery of all mail items.
Correos y Telégrafos of Guatemala has confirmed that postal services for inbound letters, parcels and EMS items will resume on 1st March 2019.
