Typhoon Matmo causes flooding in Guangdong: Media sources reported that heavy rainfall from Typhoon Matmo caused flooding in parts of southern Guangdong Province, China, on the afternoon and evening of October 5. Flooding has affected several areas, including parts of Zhanjiang, Maoming, Leizhou, Xuwen, and Wuchuan, among others. Authorities have suspended transportation and commercial activities across the cities. Strong and gusty winds have also caused disruptions to logistics and transportation.
