Heavy rainfall causes flooding in Gujarat.

Media sources reported on July 7 that heavy rainfall has caused flooding in Surat, Navsari, and Bardoli, in Gujarat, India.

Flooding caused traffic disruptions on several roads. Around 500 people were evacuated from Navsari due to high water levels of the Purna and Kaveri rivers.

Business and logistical disruptions are likely as heavy rainfall is forecasted for the region in the coming days.

Media sources on July 8 report that heavy rainfall in Kolkata, West Bengal, India has caused flooding on the same day.

According to reports, traffic disruptions occurred due to waterlogging on several important roadways in the city, like AJC Bose Road, EM Bypass, and Maa Flyover C R Avenue. Most affected areas include Jodhpur Park, Dhakuria, and Behala.

Business and logistic disruptions can be expected.
