Postal workers launch nationwide strike : Media sources reported on July 14 that workers of the Joint Postal Trade Union Front (JPTU) have launched a nationwide postal strike across Sri Lanka from 00:00 local time on July 15. The union announced that the action will involve the complete withdrawal from all overtime duties across post offices and administrative offices, which will result in severe disruptions to postal services across the country.
