Further to EmIS 149/2021, the designated operator of Mali, La Poste du Mali, wishes to confirm that the five-day general strike called by the National Workers’ Union of Mali (UNTM) from Monday, 24th May 2021, which affected the entire country, was suspended on 25th May 2021. Consequently, from 26th May 2021, postal services for inbound and outbound items (letters, parcels and EMS) will resume as normal throughout the country. La Poste du Mali has advised that the National Workers’ Union of Mali (UNTM) has called a further strike from 24 to 28 May 2021.
The strike will affect the entire country. Inbound and outbound mail operations (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) will be disrupted during this period.
La Poste du Mali has confirmed that the disrupted internet connection, which had affected EDI messages on international mail has now been restored and services resumed.
La Poste du Mali has advised they are experiencing intermittent internet disruption, which is affecting the operations of both inbound and outbound mail and causing delays.
