Truck driver unions protest in Bolivia: Media sources on June 3 reported that truck drivers and transport unions will launch blockades and hold protest rallies in El Alto and La Paz, Bolivia, on June 4 over fuel shortages. The union members will march from El Alto to La Paz and will carry out blockades at various locations across the two cities. Additionally, on June 3, truck drivers announced a 24-hour strike in the Sucre and launched street blockades, while in Santa Cruz truckers held rallies at the state’s oil company offices. The expected duration of the blockades is not known at the time of writing. Disruptions to logistics are expected.
