Protestors block 28 highways in Bolivia: Media sources on June 5 reported that supporters of a former Bolivian President have blocked 28 highways across Bolivia to demand his registration as a candidate for the upcoming August 17 national elections. The Bolivian Highway Administration confirmed roadblocks in the departments of Cochabamba (13), Oruro (6), Potosí (4), La Paz (3), and Santa Cruz (2). Transportation disruptions will likely continue as demonstrations enter their fourth day.
