Customer Service Administrator

Job title: Customer Service Administrator
Location: Worminghall, HP18 9JX. Near Thame
Salary: £18,000 - £21,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (09:00-17:00)
Holidays: 20 days holiday per annum (plus statutory bank holidays)

UKP Worldwide are leaders in managing international deliveries for over 15 years. Specialising in the mail and fulfilment of magazines, periodicals, direct mail and providing a fully managed shipping and returns service for international eCommerce parcels. 

Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and experienced Customer Service Administrator. 

The main purpose of the role will be to provide support to the Customer Service and Sales departments with various aspects of administration. 

Summary of Tasks:

  • Respond to general enquiries from customers and suppliers via telephone and email
  • Direct calls and enquiries to the relevant department
  • Support and assist the Sales team with administration duties, rate cards and quotations
  • Issuing clear and concise instructions to internal departments
  • Assist with customer invoicing
  • Preparation and filing a variety of documents
  • Various ad-hoc tasks and other administration duties

Skills Required:

  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Customer service and administration experience
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Flexible approach to business requirements

Commercial Manager

Job title: Commercial Manager
Location: Worminghall, HP18 9JX. Near Thame
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience

A newly created role in a fast growing dynamic and IT-driven logistics SME designed to attract the right person looking for a path to senior management level with an attractive OTE to match. We are looking for a driven and organised person able to support the sustainable growth strategy set by The Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will be used to negotiating with key suppliers to control costs and help secure new business opportunities by thinking outside the box. You will have the flexibility to help shape the role and map your path to a senior management position by demonstrable value add. With clearly defined and agreed objectives the person will be compensated accordingly. Knowledge of international post and parcel logistics would be an advantage but not essential for the right person.

Commercial Manager Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Head of Sales, overseeing day-to-day commercial activities and focusing on the long-term interests of the business. Managing and sourcing logistics partners, and supporting the Sales Dept. in pursuing new business opportunities. Supporting the business by helping to build value-enhancing solutions for our customers.

Duties:

  • Looks for opportunities to grow the business, whether through partnerships or new initiatives and works to take advantage of those opportunities
  • Analyses sales and other reports that give insight into how a company can make adjustments to improve financial performance
  • Assists Management Board and works as a member of a cohesive team
  • Works with company key suppliers ensuring commercially sustainable relationships with the quality of service to match.
  • Resolves issues with contracts and commercial operations
  • Communicates with all relevant stakeholders, changes to the commercial activities of the business.
  • Assesses risks and makes recommendations based on a thorough analysis of all factors involved in a business situation
  • The job role may include other reasonable duties/tasks from time to time
  • Works efficiently and calmly tight deadlines or other stress factors arise

Production Operative

Job title: Production Operative

Job Overview

An exciting new opportunity within the UKP Production Team as a Production Operative, you will be responsible for operating mechanical handling equipment, assist in maximising machine output and maintaining the highest levels of mailing and parcel logistic quality.

Working closely with the Asst. Production Manager and co-operators, you will be tasked with achieving daily production goals in terms of barcoded order picking and packing, machine loading and offloading whilst working with minimal supervision and to the highest standards, you will ensure all deadlines are met.

To be considered for this position, you must have experience of working in a fast-paced processing environment; possess strong attention to detail with excellent IT and communication skills. A flexible, motivated approach to learning and change is also essential.

Whilst not essential, experience of using any production machinery would be beneficial to your application.

Safely and efficiently work with various equipment involved in the preparation of mail, parcels and pallets, including such activities as weighing, order picking, packing and labelling various sized consignments, preparing for shipping, coupled with various additional warehouse duties.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes co-operation with your colleagues
  • Manually handling (lifting and/or stacking) bags and boxes and machine loading
  • Operating various pieces of warehouse material handling equipment
  • Completing all paperwork nearly and correctly
  • Taking proper care of equipment used while performing the job
  • Co-operating with UKPW Team, i.e. your fellow employees and management
  • Performing other duties as required by management to meet customer and business needs
  • Maintaining clean work areas

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 17 kilos repetitively
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment
  • Stamina/endurance to perform physical functions of the job throughout the day
  • May require flexibility in attendance to satisfy customer needs
